Don’t ask me why I decided that the anteater I sculpted made me think he looked like Johnny Depp in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, but it did. I sculpted the head, hands and wingtip shoes in porcelain clay. When it came out of the kiln I sewed him a wired filled stuffed body. I glued and sewed his porcelain parts to his soft body parts. It was challenging to figure out what I could use to make his amber color sun glasses. I cut the lenses from a pill bottle and then glued them to a wire frame. I hand sewed every part of him. His little Hawaiian shirt and his white cotton pants. He is clenching a tiny porcelain cigarette in his teeth. My fiend, Sandy said his cig would never survive- but it did.
Duke from Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas played by Anthony Anteater, who is a seasoned actor. He is well aware that Johnny Depp also played this role but Anthony feels he is hotter. Anthony is known for his flamboyant appearance and mannerisms. He is one of the most sought after talents in Hollywood, and his smoldering good looks got him the honor of being the sexiest star in film history.
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson is a chronicle of drug-soaked, addle-brained, rollicking good times. It is also the tale of a long weekend road trip that has gone down in the annals of American pop culture as one of the strangest journeys ever undertaken.
He is glazed porcelain head, hands and shoes. His body and tail are grey material stuffed and wired to pose.
