Making Free Love Marionettes

The marionettes were sculpted out of porcelain clay by Kathy O’Connell. She painted them, with some help from Denise Newman and her cousin. She sewed up the cloth bodies and added the heads, arms and feet. They were then strung up to a simple controller. Kathy sewed all the costumes but two that her friend Sandy Malamed made.
